Check out this great local business! Inspired Art Wine in Costa Mesa!
Describe your business
In our always connected world of television, social media and real-time everything, it can be easy to spend our day consuming information and responding to all of the inputs that bombard our life. Art offers an outlet and release from that. Our mission at Inspired is to provide you a fun and entertaining mini escape from the demands of life. Our studio is designed to be a relaxed space where you can uncork and unwine (yes, pun intended!), take a deep breath and discover your own creativity.
What made you decide to open this business?
I graduated from the University of California Irvine with a MBA in marketing and also have a technical background. I always wanted to be an artist, but couldn't find the right venue. I started to formulate the concept of what Inspired Art Wine should be. 3 years ago I opened and it has been an amazing experience!
Why did you choose this profession?
Inspiring people to be the best they can be was something that I really care about. Helping with their creative side is very rewarding.
What is something most people don't know about the business?
That we offer the space for private parties, events and we also have a local music artist night. We have a speed dating night which is very successful and lots of fun! Check out our facebook page for all our events. Including our Pinot, Pizza and Paint event.
What would your customers say they love most about your business?
It is comfortable and everyone says they feel welcome when they walk in. They keep coming back too!
We like to think that we are the Disneyland for Adults!! We maintain the integrity of the prices and we have an awesome Wine Bar!
No other art studio wine bar in Orange County offers fun and fine art classes all in one place all while enjoying our personally curated wine, beer, crafted cocktail, mocktails, tea and coffee!
What are some odd requests you've had from clients?
I have had someone hire the whole space to propose to his girlfriend! It was so amazing to be part of that.
How do you motivate and encourage your staff?
Myself and my staff are all artists and they love what they do. In turn, they have become successful in their own right as they build their names.
What are your goals over the next year?
To continue building my business and challenge myself to work harder.
How long have you lived in the neighborhood?
I emigrated from Vietnam when I was 5 years old and have lived in Orange County since then.
What were the factors that made you choose this neighborhood?
I looked at other cities in Orange County, but loved Costa Mesa the best for this business. Costa Mesa is the "City of the Arts" and it was perfect fit. The location is eclectic with some Mom and Pops businesses around me which I like. The location to the 405, Harbor Blvd, South Coast Plaza and the OC fairgrounds cinched the deal for me! And we have great parking!!
Why do you think it's important for people to shop local?
Small businesses are the economic staple of America. We help keep the economy moving. And it is personal, we always know our clientele.
What’s the most memorable experience you’ve had working with a customer?
The best one was when we were able to teach a blind person how to paint! That was an amazing experience.
